What I love about Wattpad

We all know that Wattpad is a writing community in which users are able to post articles, stories, and poems about anything either online or through the Wattpad app. The content includes work by undiscovered and published writers. (source: wikipedia)

Wattpad is a place to discover and share stories. It is a social platform that connects people through words. It is a community that spans borders, interests, or languages. With Wattpad, anyone can read or write on any device: phone, tablet or computer. (source: wattpad)

Wattpad is like Youtube of Books! (I read that before, I just don't remember where I got that line. haha) There are like 30 million users around the globe who uploads or simply read stories posted on it.

As a Wattpad writer, I am always asked, "What do you get by posting your stories online?". Then I replied, "A lot."

So are you asking Why I love it? Why writers keeps posting on this site? Here's the answer!

list of why I love Wattpad:

1. Freedom

In wattpad, you can post anything you like! Wether it is a novel, short story, one shot, poem or even an online diary! You're free to post anything anywhere here by using your PC, tablet, laptop or mobile phone (as long as it is covered by Wattpad's Code of Conduct). Here you are not bound with what Genre to write or language to use. It is up to you and your creative imagination how you can make your story outstanding.

2. Readers

In Wattpad, not only writers can join the community but readers too. If you are looking for a book which you can read for free, Wattpad is the right place. Here you can read not only online but you can download stories too so you can read even you're offline. You can put the stories that you like in your very own library and even have your own reading list to manage it.

And of course, As a writer, Who doesn't want their books to be read? Having readers is the main goal of writing. With active readers, it will boost up your confidence and light up your burning passion to write.

3.  Feedback (This one is my favorite!)

Writers work so hard for writing those stories and what encourages them to work hard and update regularly are readers and their feedback. Comments and suggestions made directly from people who read your story will help you improve your skills. Whether it is a positive feedback or negative, it will be greatly appreciated. Writers invested their precious time to write novels so do give feedback. It's a give and take relationship :D

4. Community

If you're not in the mood to read or write, don't log out yet! Here you can also join varieties of clubs or threads which will help you learn more, improve your writings or even make friends with people with the same passion as you have. You can discuss things depending on that thread you join. Aside from clubs, it is also giving out awards for writers! They do announce specific games or challenges for writers and those winners will receive gifts from wattpad (depending on the prize that they announce).

5. Stepping stone

As a writer, I'm not hiding the fact that I want my books to be published (not only online but Hardcopy too!). With Wattpad, it enables writers to showcase their works, get readers all around the globe and improve their skills. Having this said, Wattpad gives writers the opportunity to be known and opens the door towards professional writing career.

To summarize everything, I love wattpad because it gives me the opportunity to Showcase my talent, get access to what I want and help me improve my skills to use someday as a professional writer.

So for those who are asking why we love wattpad, I hope this answers your question. :D

Thanks for reading!!!

Romantic Drama

Lester and Sophie were best-friends until the day when Sophie confessed her love to him. Was it only one sided love? Find out what happened in this romance-filled love story!

Alright! In this story, school was the settings because I was still a college student when I wrote this and I am doing it at our office. To be honest, I about to submit this story at our university school paper but since we don't have much time (I'm also the chief artist that time) I wasn't able to submit this so I posted it here.

So this is a story of mine which is kind of Dramatic/Tragic. It's a romance novel with a twist in the end. I remembered the time while i was writing this story, I was really inspired. But then, I lost my inspiration that led the story into a tragic ending.

That's normal for a writer. Everything around can be used in your story. What you feel also affects the emotions of your characters. Best way to show it is by experiencing it first hand because if that's the case, you already know the feeling and know how to explain it.
